Stunning 1 Body cutting test Wakizashi performed by the famous Yamano Nagahisa, with NBTHK Hozon and Edo period Dragon theme Koshirae
Stunning
Wakizashi made by “Bungo no Kami Masamitsu”, also known as Bungo no Kami Masayasu. Forged in Kanbun period which is early Edo Period (circa 1660AD). Has a perfectly inlaid Tameshigiri Mei by one of the most famous testers Yamano Kaemon Nagahisa, with his large Kao. The cutting test has successfully severed one human body in half just below the armpits, meaning it cut through one of the most bone dense areas. It is extremely rare to see Wakizashi used for cutting tests, a very loose average would be out of 100 cutting test blades, 97 to 99% are Katana, and Wakizashi make up roughly 1 to 3%. Nagahisa was known for performing cut test for works by Kotetsu, the date in which the cutting test is inscribed which is 1666AD, August 14th.
To compliment this special blade is a very complete Ego period Koshirae all in Dragon theme. The Level of detail is stunning especially the dragons found on the Tsuba which are highly animated.
